Update: February 3rd, 2010

I have a ton of information and multiple other primary sources to get around to making entries about. I am defiantly heading in the right direction. The only part I'm missing is where I want to focus my topic on. Their is a large volume of information and it is difficult to choose one spot to research. Dewey and Mann are both interesting but I want to search more. What are some idea's people before me focused on in Education? Hopefully I will figure it out soon.

  1. you have a good start, i would just recommend searching for a starting point. You mentioned you had an intrest in Mann who focused on the economics as a restult schooling. So that could potentially lead to the question of how a school is run and how could society change if schools give opportunities for more kids to enter. It could challenge the government by saying that every child has a right to free education because their success in school could lead to a better future in America. It also poses the question of how if everyone is going to school how much would tax increase? How much is the government and society willing to contribute to the education of the future?
--hope these were some helpful ideas to jump off of.
